Off Road Support Takes the Podium

 

nhhaNorthridge, Ca -The Off Road Support/Kawasaki of Simi Valley/4-Strokes Unlimited woman’s team of Rily Ellinger and Megan Blackburn took to the dirt this weekend and captured two podiums at round two of the AMA/SRT National Hare and Hound Championship!

Ellinger, on board her Ed Villanueva-prepped KX250F took first in the Woman’s A class after a physically demanding race-long battle with last year’s series champ Maggie Pearson. “We went back and forth the whole race. Maggie is fast, and I had to stay on my toes to keep ahead of her.” Ellinger explained after the race.

Blackburn took off on the second line with the Woman’s B class and finished a respectable 3rd. “My bike ran great today, Ed and the team have been working non-stop the past two weeks to have our bikes ready for round 2. I can’t thank them enough for everything that they, and all of our sponsors are doing for us.” Blackburn said after the event

The one-of-a-kind women’s team enjoyed a lot of press this weekend as Mark Kariya conducted an interview for an upcoming American Motorcyclist Magazine interview on Woman and off-road motorcycling. Look for Rily Ellinger, Megan Blackburn and the Off Road Support team in an upcoming issue of the AMA’s American Motorcyclist Magazine, which hits newsstands later this month.
