American Motorcyclist Association’s District 37 Big Grand Prix welcomed hundreds of racers to a moist, but well prepped course at the sprawling Glen Helen Raceway facility for round three. The course encompassed the National track, the Off Road facility, the West ridge of the facility, exiting out on the “Boy Scout” trail and down the pavement access road at breakneck speeds on the reportedly nine mile course. Hundreds of racers were hand to get their Grand Prix on for the two day event.
Seasoned scribe and the always pleasant Jean Turner getting the scoop from the West Coast Grand Prix winner, Colton Udall.
In the elite West Coast Grand Prix Pro event, it was WFOx/MSR/ Scorpion’s Colton Udall powering his way to the lead for the first four laps relinquishing it to Justin Seeds on lap five after pitting. Udall regained the top spot on the following lap and continued to carry the torch for remainder of the race tallying eight laps. Seeds stayed the runner up to the checkers with Blayne Thompson wrapping up the top three. Stay tuned for further coverage of round three.
