PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The 2018 AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship, which pits top amateur hillclimbers against each other to prove their skill and determination, will be hosted by the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club in Monson, Mass., July 27-29.
The AMA Hillclimb Grand Championship is the premier amateur hillclimb event in the United States, and competition will be fierce to determine who wins an AMA National No. 1 plate.
As with most American Motorcyclist Association amateur national championships, and in recognition of the range of participants in amateur competition, the event includes multiple classes to provide ample opportunities for amateur racers to compete. Both age-, displacement- and bike-configuration classes are featured.
Known as the “Monson Monster,” the facility is owned by the Quaboag Riders Motorcycle Club, which is celebrating 74 years of operation. The facility will be hosting the event for the fifth time since 1993.
“The Quaboag facility always provides a great venue for the hillclimb, and I am sure we are going to see some excellent runs this year,” said AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant.
